Naporn Wattanakasaem was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduated with Bachelor of Accounting from Chulalongkorn University in 2007. In 2009, Naporn decided to leave her accountant career behind to follow her passion for dance, which she has been trained since she was 4 at Aree School of Dance Arts. Naporn pursued her dance study in the United States and completed the Bachelor of Arts in dance from University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 2013. During 4-year of living in the States, Naporn danced for Michele Funderberk, Janet Lily, Larry Lavender and she was the original casts of Helen Simoneau’s Paper Wings, performed at American Dance Festival 2012.
After the graduation, Naporn joined Bangkok City Ballet as a choreographer, dancer and instructor. She performed both contemporary dance and ballet for the company. Naporn also choreographed many works for the BCB including “Rather Be”(2014), “Fourth Dimension”(2015), “Initiation”(2016), “Norm”(2016), and “Silent”(2017). Not only dancing and choreographing, Naporn also did the dance films such as “Dance+Film+SiteSpecific Project”(2015) and “Mystified”(2012) which was selected to present at the American College Dance Festival Association 2013 and the Salt Lake 2013 Screendance Festival.
In 2018, Naporn received the best choreography award for her work, “Silent” from the ATOD International Dance Competition 2018 in Bangkok. In the same year, she was also nominated as a shortlisted candidate for the 2018 Women of the Future, Southeast Asia, Award in the Arts and Culture category. In 2019 Naporn completed MFA in choreography from Jacksonville University, US.

เกิดและเติบโตที่กรุงเทพมหานคร เริ่มเรียนบัลเลต์ตั้งแต่อายุ 4 ขวบที่โรงเรียนอารีย์นาฏยศิลป์ และจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีสาขาพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในปี พ.ศ. 2550 ต่อมาในปี 2552 นพรตัดสินใจที่จะศึกษาด้านการเต้นอย่างจริงจัง จึงเดินทางไปศึกษาต่อที่ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาและจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีสาขาการเต้นที่ University of North Carolina, Greensboro ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 ตลอดระยะเวลา 4 ปีที่พำนักในสหรัฐอเมริกานั้น นพรได้ร่วมงานกับนักออกแบบท่าเต้นหลายท่าน ได้แก่ Michele Funderberk, Janet Lily, Larry Lavender และเธอยังเป็นนักเต้นในงานคอนเทมพอรารี่ที่ชื่อ Paper Wings ของผู้ออกแบบท่าเต้น Helen Simoneau ซึ่งจัดแสดงครั้งแรกที่ American Dance Festival 2012 หลังจากจบการศึกษานพรเดินทางกลับประเทศไทยและได้ร่วมงานกับ Bangkok City Ballet ตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมาในฐานะของผู้ออกแบบท่าเต้น นักเต้นและครู นพรแสดงทั้งคอนเทมโพรารี่และบัลเลต์ให้กับคณะ และยังเป็นผู้ออกแบบท่าเต้นให้กับคณะหลายงาน อาทิ “Rather Be”(พ.ศ. 2557), “Fourth Dimension”(พ.ศ. 2558), “Initiation”(พ.ศ. 2559), “Norm”(พ.ศ. 2560), and “Silent”(พ.ศ. 2561) นอกจากนั้นนพรยังสนใจในการทำภาพยนตร์เต้นขนาดสั้น ซึ่งผลงานของเธอ ได้แก่ “Dance+Film+SiteSpecific Project”(พ.ศ. 2558) และ “Mystified”(พ.ศ. 2555) โดยผลงานชิ้นหลังได้ถูกจัดแสดงในงาน American College Dance Festival Association 2013 และ Salt Lake 2013 Screendance Festival ในปี พ.ศ.2561 นพร ได้รับรางวัล Best Choreography Award จากผลงาน “Silent” ในการแข่งขัน ATOD International Dance Competition 2018 และในปีเดียวกันนั้นยังได้รับการเสนอชื่อเป็นผู้เข้ารอบสุดท้ายของงานประกาศรางวัล 2018 Women of the Future, Southeast Asia ในสาขาศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม และในปีพ.ศ. 2562 นพรได้จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทด้านการออกแบบท่าเต้น (MFA in choreography) จาก Jacksonville University ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา
